Business Development Representative

About the role

The Business Development Representative will drive new business for a BPO client by generating and qualifying B2B leads. You will manage the full prospecting cycle, from research and outreach to scheduling discovery meetings with decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate lead and interaction records in CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot and report on outreach activity.
• Research and identify prospects within the target ICP using LinkedIn and prospecting tools, executing high‑volume outbound calls, emails and social outreach.
• Collaborate with client account executives to transition qualified leads into sales meetings and provide relevant insights.
• Meet or exceed monthly activity quotas, schedule discovery calls or demos, and track pipeline progress against targets.
• Qualify prospects against defined criteria and hand off sales‑ready meetings while ensuring CRM hygiene.
• Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, competitive products and best sales practices.

Required profile

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• 2‑5 years of outbound B2B sales experience, including 1‑2 years in a lead‑generation role.
• Experience in the healthcare BPO sector and a proven track record of pipeline generation and quota achievement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong research and prospecting abilities.
• Driver’s licence and reliable transport.
