Audit Manager (Insurance / Banking)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Audit Manager in Midrand, South Africa, with a focus on insurance and banking clients. The role supports service and business area leadership in implementing the strategic plan through effective team management, and supports the Partner in delivering services to and at client premises on delegated engagements and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior Manager on delivery of designated engagements and projects, managing agreed deliverables
• Manage and maintain oversight of team deliverables on client engagements
• Communicate the Audit Engagement Agreement details to teams and monitor adherence
• Share expertise and counsel team members on an ongoing basis
• Manage engagement budgets through accurate budgeting, cost control and profitability management
• Contribute to regional and business area winning business, including industry manager initiatives and cross-service-line selling

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years in an Audit Manager role focused on insurance and/or banking clients
• Experience in a client-facing management role
