Growth Director – Rest of Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

The Growth Director will drive sustainable expansion of KFC’s business across the Rest of Sub‑Saharan Africa (RoSSA). Partnering with the General Manager and Africa Finance & Development teams, you will translate strategy into executable plans that boost operating profit, accelerate new unit growth and strengthen franchisee economics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business planning, forecasting, performance reporting and financial analysis to meet revenue, profit, capital efficiency and unit‑growth targets.
• Develop and execute an accelerated unit‑expansion strategy, including market prioritisation, pipeline planning, site feasibility and launch readiness.
• Provide robust governance of financial, accounting, capital and strategic project planning activities, ensuring decisions are data‑driven.
• Build compelling investor and franchise‑partner propositions, negotiate capital allocation and identify M&A or strategic‑alliance opportunities.
• Co‑create KFC’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and drive cross‑functional execution through agile squads, governance frameworks and regular reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of senior experience in finance, business planning, franchise development or market expansion, preferably in restaurant or consumer‑goods sectors.
• Proven track record of unlocking accelerated growth through white‑space opportunity identification and scalable commercial models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Strong ability to operate in ambiguous, multi‑country environments with varied infrastructure and regulatory landscapes.
