About the role
The company is looking for an experienced Corporate Accountant to lead daily accounting operations in Johannesburg. The role involves managing the full spectrum of financial activities and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the trial balance and general ledger.
- Produce financial reports and cash‑flow statements.
- Manage VAT filings and debtor accounts.
- Handle inter‑company transactions and support audits.
- Process journals and perform lease and fixed‑asset accounting.
- Report overhead costs and manage invoicing.
- Provide budget support and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required profile
- BCom degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar corporate accounting role.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective multitasking capabilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in GAAP.
- Experience with BuildSmart software.
- Experience with Finnivo software.
