Tax Specialist (Corporate) – 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

Our client in the oil and gas sector is looking for a Tax Specialist to join the corporate team on a one‑year fixed‑term basis. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with the Botswana Income Tax Act and delivering accurate tax services to support business units and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing compliance with the Botswana Income Tax Act and related regulations.
• Provide tax advice and services to business units, aligning with their models and projects.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact, and recommend updates to internal procedures.
• Prepare and review tax filings, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification or BCom with a postgraduate or higher diploma in Tax.
• 1–3 years of experience in a petro‑chemical, manufacturing, or corporate environment.
• Demonstrated experience with direct taxes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact at all organisational levels.
