HR, Training & Payroll Administrator

About the role

The HR, Training & Payroll Administrator will support the organisation’s human resources function by managing payroll, maintaining employee records and coordinating training activities. This position is based in Edenvale and reports to senior HR leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end payroll each month using systems such as Sage, VIP or Pastel.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, SARS and UIF requirements.
• Coordinate internal training programmes and maintain training documentation.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with basic general‑ledger balancing.
• Generate HR and payroll reports for management review.
• Handle confidential employee data in line with POPIA regulations.

Required profile

• Matric or Senior Certificate plus a National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in an HR and/or payroll administrative role.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and payroll compliance.
• Excellent time‑management, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, VIP Payroll, Pastel Payroll).
• Advanced MS Office skills and experience with OneDrive.
• Understanding of POPIA compliance and data‑protection principles.
• Experience in end‑to‑end payroll processing and employee record management.
