Financial Analyst – Project Finance (Renewable Energy)

About the role

A leading renewable energy developer is looking for a commercially‑minded Financial Analyst to join its Project Finance team in Cape Town. The role will support the financial execution of large‑scale renewable projects through modelling, analysis and commercial support across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct project valuations, forecasting and sensitivity analysis.
• Support project finance and capital‑raising activities, including bid submissions and financial close processes.
• Perform financial due diligence, risk analysis and tariff modelling.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, technical, procurement and development teams.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and industry changes.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project finance, investment analysis or financial modelling.
• Strong understanding of project finance and commercial analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
