Corporate Tax Specialist – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

Our client in the oil and gas sector is seeking a Corporate Tax Specialist on a six‑month maternity contract. You will be accountable for ensuring compliance with the Botswana Income Tax Act and delivering accurate tax services to support business units and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing compliance with the Botswana Income Tax Act and related regulations.
• Provide accurate and insightful tax advice to business units.
• Stay current with tax legislation and its practical application.
• Recommend and implement changes to internal tax procedures where needed.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification or BCom with a postgraduate/higher diploma in tax.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a petro‑chemical, manufacturing, or corporate environment.
• Experience with direct taxes and a solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
