Credit Controller

About the role

Take ownership of a high‑value debtors book and drive cash‑flow performance within a fast‑paced finance team based in Kempton Park.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full debtors function, maintaining accurate account information and processing invoices, credit notes and journals.
• Validate new credit applications, monitor credit limits and ensure compliance with company policies and the National Credit Act.
• Lead collections across a large debtor portfolio, follow up overdue accounts, allocate receipts and reconcile unallocated items.
• Provide input for weekly cash‑flow forecasts and support month‑end reporting.
• Resolve customer queries, pricing, delivery and POD issues, and maintain audit trails in the ERP system.
• Monitor debtor risk, manage credit insurance processes and recommend improvements to collection efficiency.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification (essential) with a relevant credit management or accounting qualification preferred.
• 5–7 years of commercial credit control experience managing a large debtor book.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with a focus on risk mitigation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
