Business Unit Financial Manager

About the role

This position offers a hands‑on opportunity to act as the financial leader for a high‑volume revenue entity within a fast‑growing infrastructure organisation. You will partner directly with senior executives, own end‑to‑end financial management, and drive commercial decisions that impact the business.

Key responsibilities

• Full end‑to‑end financial management of a legal entity, functioning as a mini‑CFO.
• Revenue oversight in a high‑volume billing environment, including debtor management and collections.
• Hands‑on operational finance tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Commercial involvement in contract reviews, pricing decisions, and sales engagements.
• Leadership, coaching, and development of a geographically distributed finance team.
• Partnering with C‑suite stakeholders and senior management to provide financial insight.
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and corporate financial policies.

Required profile

• BCom/BAcc or equivalent tertiary qualification in Finance.
• CA(SA) or CIMA designation.
• 3‑6+ years of experience in a Financial Manager role with strong technical accounting exposure.
• Proven knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 16.
• Demonstrated people and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience in high‑volume, deadline‑driven environments.
