Cashbook Clerk – Treasury & Cashbook Specialist

About the role

Step into an energetic, fast‑paced Treasury & Cashbook position for an innovative FinTech leader in Sandton, driving daily high‑volume bank reconciliations, EFT processing, and Navision/Business Central ledger controls.

Key responsibilities

• Process and capture high‑volume cashbook transactions across multiple local and international bank accounts under strict operational deadlines.
• Perform daily and month‑end bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving unallocated items, discrepancies, and banking variances.
• Execute daily electronic payment batches, verify beneficiary details, and assist with liquidity allocations across multi‑entity account structures.
• Assist group finance with month‑end ledger balancing, compile reconciliation packs, and address internal and external audit inquiries.
• Rotate across diverse banking portfolios to ensure business continuity, enforcing internal financial controls, VAT guidelines, and corporate compliance standards.

Required profile

• Completed Diploma or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related commercial discipline.
• 2–3 years of reference‑backed commercial experience in a cashbook or treasury‑focused accounting capacity.
• Advanced command of Microsoft Excel; experience with Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Accpac (Sage 300) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of cashbook processing, complex bank reconciliations, cash‑flow mechanics and basic VAT principles.
• Exceptional numerical accuracy, self‑motivated work ethic and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced FinTech environment.
