About the role
The Workshop Foreman will lead the automotive workshop team, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and safe operations. This full‑time position is based in Durban and reports to senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect work in progress and perform final quality checks
- Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain workshop cleanliness
- Assign daily tasks, monitor workflow, and manage productivity levels
- Manage technical staff
- Ensure specialized tools and machinery are maintained
- Monitor stock levels of spare parts and consumables
- Ensure mechanical repairs or production tasks are completed safely and efficiently
Required profile
- Matric Trade Test Certificate – Diesel Mechanic
- Valid driver’s licence
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
