About the role
The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for accurately weighing inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods, ensuring precise documentation and compliance with safety and legal standards. This role involves close interaction with drivers, transporters, and internal teams to maintain smooth logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately weigh all inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.
- Capture and record weights, product codes, batch numbers, and quantities in the system.
- Issue and verify weighbridge documentation such as weigh slips, delivery notes, and gate release notes.
- Check supporting documents and report discrepancies immediately.
- Support stocktakes, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor vehicle loading to prevent overloading or underloading.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legal metrology requirements.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, transporters, and internal teams.
- Prepare daily and monthly weighbridge and dispatch reports.
