Warehouse Picker – Stock & Packing

About the role

The Picker is responsible for accurately selecting customer orders using the picking application and safely packing the items for onward processing. This position ensures that orders are fulfilled efficiently, correctly, and within required timelines while maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately according to the picking system, confirming quantities and product codes.
• Report any stock issues or discrepancies to the supervisor for investigation.
• Follow optimal picking routes and prioritisation suggested by the app.
• Maintain housekeeping standards while picking to ensure a safe workspace.
• Pack items securely to prevent damage and ensure proper segregation.
• Assist with loading and unloading of containers or vehicles as needed.
• Conduct routine stock checks and report shortages.
• Keep picking equipment clean and in good condition.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing environment is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret pick slips, invoices, and labels.
• Physically fit, able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious.
