Waiter/Waitress – Hospitality Team

About the role

We are looking for professional, well‑presented waiters and waitresses to join our hospitality team in Durban. The role involves delivering high‑quality food and beverage service to guests in hotels, restaurants, lodges or similar establishments, with a focus on courteous service for guests of all ages, including the elderly.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve meals, drinks and refreshments according to established service standards.
• Assist elderly guests with patience and respect, addressing special dietary needs.
• Prepare and set up dining areas, ensure tables are clean and reset promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of service stations, buffet areas and overall dining environment.
• Communicate clearly in English with guests, kitchen staff and fellow team members.
• Follow food handling, hygiene and health‑safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in hotels, restaurants, lodges, guesthouses or similar hospitality settings.
• Fluent spoken English with clear communication skills.
• Professional appearance, good personal hygiene and a friendly, patient demeanor.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Capable of working under pressure in a busy service environment.
