Waiter / Waitress – Guest Service at Café

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Waiters and Waitresses to join our team at tashas Melrose Arch, a beloved café brand in South Africa. In this role you will be the face of the restaurant, delivering warm, attentive service that creates memorable dining experiences for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with genuine enthusiasm and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve dishes and drinks promptly, ensuring correct delivery to each guest.
• Anticipate guest needs, address enquiries, and resolve concerns with care.
• Present bills, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions accurately.
• Maintain clean, well‑set tables and reset them efficiently for the next guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Uphold tashas grooming, uniform, and hygiene standards at all times.

Required profile

• Friendly, energetic and passionate about hospitality.
• Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
