VMC Engineer – Vehicle Modification Centre

About the role

The VMC Engineer will lead the launch of vehicle modification centre (VMC) accessories and resolve design quality issues both in‑plant and in the field. This role also acts as the PVT engineer for warranty claims and serves as program manager to coordinate cross‑functional activities for successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the launch of VMC‑installed accessories and manage design quality issues.
• Act as the single point of contact for the EU VP team and coordinate with IMG VP.
• Develop, release, and fund EU accessories, handling change‑management and WERS releases.
• Provide engineering assessments, cost estimates, and logistics coordination for new accessories.
• Conduct fitment trials on Ford vehicles, generate engineering reports, and liaise with suppliers.
• Perform quality impact assessments and report product development status to VP management.
• Manage BSAQ roadmaps, analyse warranty claims, and support containment actions.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in vehicle personalization or modification.
• Proven ability to manage complex programs across multiple departments.
• Strong understanding of warranty processes and quality assurance in an automotive environment.
