Senior Maintenance Planner

About the role

We are seeking a suitably qualified Senior Maintenance Planner to join our team at Lanseria International Airport. The role is responsible for controlling and executing aircraft maintenance planning, scheduling, and airworthiness requirements while supporting the Responsible Person Aircraft and the Maintenance Manager Flight Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively plan and optimise maintenance projections and contractual/customer requirements.
• Manage work scopes, service bulletins (SBs) and airworthiness directives (ADs).
• Collect and capture flight folio/Techlog data and update systems such as CMP, CAMP, Traxxall, Avdex.
• Maintain technical records, C of A renewals, radio licence applications and renewals.
• Handle import/export C of A applications, aircraft registration/de‑registration, and flight‑ware requirements.
• Create work scopes, conduct research, and support ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience as an Airframe/Engine Maintenance Planner.
• Experience updating and auditing aircraft airframe and engine logbooks.
• Familiarity with South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) processes, including C of A renewals, AV/RVSM and radio licence applications.
• Proven ability to build aircraft inspections incorporating SBs and ADs on maintenance tracking programmes.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Maintenance tracking systems – CAMP, Traxxall, Flightdocs, Avdex.
• Aircraft logbook auditing and technical record management.
• Knowledge of SACAA regulatory requirements (C of A, AV, RVSM, radio licences).
• Job‑card generation, management and archiving.
