Buyer – Automotive Procurement (Pretoria)

About the role

The automotive company in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage the procurement of commodities and services, ensuring suppliers meet the company’s quality, cost and delivery criteria. The role involves handling RFQs, negotiating terms and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase commodities and services required for automotive production.
• Develop, monitor and control supplier performance.
• Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• GR12 level qualification.
• Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Navision ERP system.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in an automotive environment.
• Technical knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
• At least 2 years of costing/estimating experience.
