Travel Contracting Manager – Luxury DMC

About the role

An established luxury travel company seeks an experienced Travel Contracting Manager to strengthen its supplier network and secure commercial agreements that underpin exceptional African travel experiences. The role is hands‑on, balancing negotiation, relationship management, commercial analysis and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, lodges, transport providers, activity operators and other tourism suppliers.
• Negotiate competitive rates, exclusive benefits, value‑added offers and favourable commercial terms, including overrides and bed‑night commitments.
• Manage contracts from negotiation through implementation, ensuring agreements are accurately captured and applied.
• Analyse commercial data and provide recommendations to improve supplier and contract performance.

Required profile

• Based in Cape Town.
• Degree or Diploma in Tourism, Commerce, Contracting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement, contracting or supplier management experience within a DMC environment.
• Strong knowledge of the tourism industry and supplier contracting processes.

Required skills

• Experience using a travel booking system.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial analysis abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and systems.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to improve efficiency.
