Travel Consultant - Western Cape

About the role

Pentravel, a division of Cullinan Holdings, a leading leisure, travel and tourism company, is looking for a customer-oriented Travel Consultant to join its team in Cape Town. You will provide expert advice to travelers, design bespoke itineraries and book every part of their trips, while meeting sales targets and helping the business grow.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
• Design and sell customised itineraries that match each traveller's preferences, budget and needs.
• Advise on destinations, including visas and travel insurance.
• Maximise sales through upselling, cross-selling and promoting the company's preferred partners.
• Keep accurate records of clients and bookings using the company's operational systems.
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally and efficiently.
• Stay up to date with industry trends.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a sales and target-driven role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Passion for travel and knowledge of popular destinations.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a roster basis, as this is retail travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation systems such as Amadeus is advantageous.
