Account Manager - Fleet Business Channel (Western Cape)

About the role

TRACKER Sales is looking for an Account Manager to consult, develop and promote relationships within its Business Channel, based in the Western Cape. The role suits a self-starter with sound business acumen and fleet industry experience who can communicate confidently at all levels, retain and grow key accounts and increase revenue. It is a permanent position reporting to the Tracker Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and identify new business opportunities within existing key accounts
• Provide a consultative service to key account clients and analyse business trends within them
• Coordinate and manage departmental processes within Tracker and the client's business
• Manage client operational tracking and vehicle monitoring needs, and set up service level agreements
• Plan and attend business promotions and functions, and prepare tender documents for the region
• Maintain a sales pipeline, update it daily and achieve monthly and annual add-on sales targets
• Identify training needs, compile statistics when requested and document internal processes and business rules
• Proactively manage account ageing and foster key relationships

Required profile

• Matric with 3-5 years' experience in fleet or fleet technology industries
• Relevant sales or marketing degree or diploma is advantageous
• Account management experience is essential; project management skills are an advantage
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
