Strategy & Operations Associate

About the role

Capcade builds the operating system for private capital, serving private equity, private credit and fund of funds managers. It is growing its Cape Town team and is looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to work alongside the Head of Growth, combining analysis of where to focus with the hands-on operations that make it real. The role is mostly building, with a meaningful share of running, and you will see your work land with real customers.

Key responsibilities

• Create and refine customer content: help articles, guides, training material and short videos for the customer academy.
• Set up and run automations such as onboarding sequences, lifecycle campaigns and in-app messages.
• Build reporting used by the customer and growth teams and turn it into clear recommendations.
• Help steer AI-assisted support by fixing the content, flows or product feedback behind it.
• Handle everyday customer moments such as setup questions, account and access requests and reporting requests, escalating genuine defects to Product with evidence.
• Keep commercial data clean and segments sharp across Apollo and Intercom.
• Analyse what customers use, where they get stuck and which segments deserve focus.
• Support the client-facing team in account management, solution consulting and project delivery, prioritised with the Revenue Operations Lead.
• Suggest better ways of working and own the improvements you propose.

Required profile

• Honours degree or higher in a quantitative or business discipline (engineering, accounting, business science, finance or economics).
• Roughly two to three years in professional services, financial services, fintech or SaaS, ideally in strategy, analytics, operations or customer success; an interest in funds and investors is an advantage.
• Evidence of initiative, a builder's mindset and analytical confidence with data and spreadsheets.
• Clear, warm writing and communication, and an appetite to understand the whole business.

Required skills

• Experience with Apollo, Intercom, Power BI, Miro, Synthesia or Vimeo is a plus.
• Comfortable with data, spreadsheets and turning numbers into a point of view.
