Travel Call Centre Agent – Sabre Native

About the role

We are looking for a Travel Call Centre Agent with native expertise in the Sabre GDS to provide first‑class support to airline and travel customers. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, delivering accurate information, and contributing to the profitability of the business while treating customers fairly.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound customer interactions across voice, email and correspondence channels.
• Use Sabre GDS to retrieve and modify reservations, issue tickets and advise on fares.
• Analyse, validate and interpret booking information to provide accurate solutions.
• Prioritise workload, manage high call volumes and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Resolve conflicts amicably and find effective solutions for customers.
• Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to meet service targets and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in travel, tourism or customer service.
• Native‑level training on Sabre GDS.
• Experience in a multi‑channel contact‑centre environment (voice, email, correspondence).
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English (additional South African language a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional email etiquette.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of airline fares and ticketing, with intermediate GDS expertise.
• Excellent planning, organising and time‑management abilities.
