About the role
The International Hotel School, Cape Town Campus is looking for a Traineeship Assessor to support learners in its traineeship programmes. The role involves teaching, supporting and assessing students, sharing a passion for the culinary industry with eager young people. The ideal person is patient, understanding, helpful and calm, with an engaging, supportive personality and the maturity to act as a mentor.
Key responsibilities
- Teach, support and assess students in the traineeship programme
- Facilitate the traineeship recruitment process
- Build and manage relationships with properties
- Handle academic administration
Required profile
- At least 2 years of culinary arts experience as a chef
- CA/Hospitality qualification at NQF level 6 beneficial
- Certified as an Assessor
- Lecturing, teaching or assessor experience beneficial
Required skills
- Advanced administrative skills
- Proficiency with relevant computer software
