Traffic Manager - Creative Team

About the role

HelloKindred, a staffing specialist in marketing, creative and technology roles, is recruiting a Traffic Manager for a leading global financial services organisation. The role acts as the central hub for workflow management and resource allocation within the creative team, making sure all creative requests are prioritised, assigned and delivered efficiently. It is a 1-year contract with potential to extend, hybrid (3 days per week in the Cape Town office).

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact for workflow management and resource allocation, ensuring requests are prioritised, assigned and delivered on time.
• Manage the intake and review of creative briefs, ensuring clarity, alignment and accurate assignment.
• Re-prioritise when urgent requests arise, balancing business demands with creative team capacity.
• Allocate resources across projects and ad hoc requests, keeping clear visibility of team workloads.
• Partner with the Lead on forecasting and resourcing strategies.
• Keep Workfront up to date by assigning tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring production starts on agreed dates.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on capacity, timelines and potential risks.

Required profile

• Mid-weight traffic management experience, able to handle multiple projects and reprioritise quickly under pressure.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally closer to 5 years.
• Background in creative agency environments strongly preferred.
• Strong organisational, communication and time management skills.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.
• Legally authorised to live and work in South Africa without employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Workfront is advantageous.
