Temporary SSO Level 1 – Preschool (22.5 hrs/week)

About the role

This temporary position provides School Support Officer (SSO) services at a preschool within the Central Yorke Early Learning Centre. The role is part‑time, covering 22.5 hours per week across Wednesday to Friday, and runs from May to December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Assist early childhood educators with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during indoor and outdoor sessions.
• Support the preparation of learning resources and maintain a tidy learning environment.
• Help with record‑keeping, attendance, and compliance with health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Actively working towards or already holding a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.
• Available to work 7.5 hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Willingness to engage in a fixed‑term contract from 20 May 2026 to 13 December 2026.
• Ability to collaborate with teaching staff and follow centre procedures.
