About the role
ADvTECH is looking for a Classroom Assistant to support young learners at Junior Colleges Ridge View in Roodepoort. The role focuses on school readiness, learning through play, and assisting teachers in creating an engaging classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily classroom activities and support the teacher in delivering the curriculum.
- Promote school readiness by helping children prepare for the next grade.
- Facilitate learning through play and encourage active participation.
- Participate in continuous assessment and communicate progress to parents.
- Uphold the school’s ethos and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues and take part in school events and programmes.
Required profile
- Minimum Matric Certificate.
- Proven experience working with young children in a similar educational setting.
- Strong communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
- Organisational ability and initiative to follow daily programmes.
- Positive rapport with small children and a team‑oriented attitude.
