Technical Training Officer - Mining

About the role

An organisation on the West Rand, Gauteng, specialising in services for the mining and related industries, is looking for a Technical Training Officer. The role delivers technical training to mining professionals while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging classroom and on-the-job training sessions
• Assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback
• Coach and mentor staff to enhance their development
• Identify training needs and build effective training programmes
• Maintain and update training materials and the Learning Management System
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mining Engineering, Geology, HR or a related field
• 2-4 years of professional training experience, preferably in mining
• In-depth knowledge of mining regulations, safety procedures and best practices

Required skills

• Strong technical skills, including Mix Telematics and Excel
• Excellent communication, coaching and people management skills
