Technical Sales - Services & Repairs

About the role

A leading supplier of industrial automation solutions and services is looking for a long-term sales representative for its Repairs & Services team. The role visits territory accounts to increase sales and market share of service and repair offerings, supports customers with follow-up and equipment repair queries, and travels to customer sites in the KZN region to build new business.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the turnover of the Services & Repairs division and identify new customers with industrial repair needs.
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships and act as a contact point for technical assistance on repair and service queries.
• Call heads of department and engineering managers to show how the company can add value to their operations.
• Manage and develop business through prospecting and marketing activities.
• Follow up on quotes promptly and give feedback to management when needed.
• Build a sales pipeline in line with targets and submit monthly sales reports.

Required profile

• Experience in B2B sales.
• Ability to work independently, be detail-oriented and follow safety instructions and directions.
• Sales qualifications or courses are advantageous.

Required skills

• CRM knowledge and process.
• MS Windows, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
• Superior oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of drives and motors is an added benefit.

What we offer

• R15,000 to R25,000 basic salary plus commission; a junior starting position with room to grow into a senior rep role.
