About the role
The Tax Specialist – Audit, Controversy & Defence provides technical, analytical and administrative support to the Head of Tax, helping to manage tax audits, investigations and disputes across the Group. You will ensure that all information supplied to tax authorities and internal stakeholders is accurate, complete and delivered on time.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, working papers and supporting analyses for tax audits and investigations.
- Gather and validate financial and tax data required by tax authorities.
- Reconcile tax returns with financial reporting information to ensure consistency.
- Draft responses to audit queries and coordinate collection of supporting documentation from Finance, Legal, Operations and Commercial teams.
- Maintain audit files, document control processes and evidence repositories for tax positions.
- Track outstanding information requests and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Tax in managing communication logs and dispute trackers.
Required profile
- Strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and external advisors.
- Excellent written communication to ensure accurate responses to tax authorities.
- Proactive approach to managing deadlines and information gaps.
