Tax Manager – Lead Personal Tax Department

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Tax Manager to lead the development of our Personal Tax Department at our Scarborough office. This senior position combines high‑level technical advisory with strategic team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a team of Tax Seniors and Trainees, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Act as primary advisor for individuals, partnerships, trusts and estates, identifying and implementing complex tax planning opportunities.
• Oversee the personal tax return process and manage high‑level compliance cases within your portfolio.
• Handle HMRC enquiries and compliance checks with professional precision.
• Drive departmental efficiency through billing management and monthly WIP reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a tax‑focused role or similar professional environment.
• ATT/CTA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities and a client‑focused approach.
