Talent Acquisition and Communications Specialist

About the role

The global pharmaceutical company seeks a Talent Acquisition and Communications Specialist to lead end‑to‑end recruitment while driving internal communication initiatives that boost employee engagement and employer branding.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition to onboarding, partnering with hiring managers to define workforce needs.
• Draft and publish vacancy ads on platforms such as LinkedIn, PNet and Careers24; source candidates via LinkedIn, agencies and direct outreach.
• Screen CVs, conduct initial interviews, coordinate interview schedules, collect feedback and communicate with candidates.
• Perform reference, qualification and background checks and monitor recruitment metrics (time to hire, cost per hire, etc.).
• Develop and execute internal communication plans, including organisational announcements, newsletters, policy updates and wellness campaigns.
• Maintain communication calendars, ensure consistent branding and support change‑management communications.
• Create employer‑branding content for LinkedIn and career sites, and support graduate, internship and university recruitment programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of talent‑acquisition experience with a proven track record of internal communications or employee‑engagement projects.
• Working knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, POPIA).
• Strong stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
