Tactical Training Instructor

About the role

Fidelity Services Group is looking for a Tactical Training Instructor based in Cape Town, reporting to the Regional Training Manager. The role covers presenting, facilitating and assessing training interventions within its area of responsibility, in line with best practices, quality assurance standards and industry requirements set out in applicable legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Present, assess and facilitate training interventions according to industry and internal standards, following QMS and best practices.
• Coach and guide learners on learnerships so they achieve competence standards, as defined by programme objectives, learning outcomes or unit standard outcomes.
• Comply with curriculum and training interventions through effective facilitation and assessment.
• Follow legislative and quality assurance guidelines, including SASSETA, PSIRA, NKP, SAPS, DoL, PFTC, CAA and QCTO.
• Take part in ad-hoc projects where needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience and full knowledge of the training environment.
• Driver's license (EB).
• PSIRA Grades E-A Instructor, SASSETA QCTO Assessor/Moderator and Facilitator registration with ETDP SETA; assessor and moderator registration with SASSETA is an advantage.
• General Security Practices (GSO) at NQF 3 and Specialist Security Practices qualification at NQF 4.
• Competence in firearm unit standards (handgun, shotgun, rifle, carbine and PFTC firearms) and instructor registration.
• No criminal record or pending cases.
• Own reliable transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel (essential).
• Numerical accuracy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines and to liaise professionally with personnel at all levels.
