Part-Time Lecturer - End User Computing

About the role

The End User Computing Unit in the Faculty of ICT at Tshwane University of Technology invites applications for part-time lecturer positions across its Pretoria, Soshanguve, Arcadia & Arts, Mbombela and Ga-Rankuwa campuses. Applicants must submit a completed standardised application form and certified copies of their qualifications, identity document and scoresheet.

Key responsibilities

• Teach End User Computing subjects at Level 5 and Level 6
• Perform Subject Head and Subject Coordinator duties
• Handle academic administration such as marking capture on the ITS system and student profile management
• Invigilate examinations

Required profile

• NQF Level 9 Master's degree in an IT specialisation area
• 3 years of relevant teaching experience in education, or 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Teaching experience tailored to each campus's needs

• Mbombela: Pastel, Pastel Advanced, Evolution, Business Intelligence, Payroll & Municipal Billing (x4)
• Soshanguve: mentoring Access, Outlook and Computing Fundamentals (x5); an added advantage
• Ga-Rankuwa: Pastel, Pastel Advanced, Evolution, Business Intelligence, Payroll & Municipal Billing (x4)
• Pretoria: Scratch programming (x13); an advantage
