Switchboard Operator – Front Desk Support

About the role

The Switchboard Operator ensures all telephone communications and guest requests are handled promptly and professionally at The Pullman Hotel. Working 24/7, you will be the first point of contact for guests, helping to create memorable stays.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls, apply corporate governance standards, and transfer calls to the appropriate department.
• Receive in‑house guest requests, log them, and forward to the relevant service area while ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Manage wake‑up call and restaurant reservation requests using the SPA system.
• Maintain up‑to‑date telephone extension lists and handle special deliveries or celebrations for guests.
• Participate in emergency procedures, answer emergency lines, and coordinate communication during evacuations.
• Receive and distribute faxes for guests, tenants, and internal departments.
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing, preparing arrival paperwork, and updating email lists.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Front Office or Call Center role within a hotel.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with Opera PMS or similar systems.
• Polished telephone etiquette and a calm, courteous demeanor under pressure.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and exceeding expectations.
