Surgical Sales IOL Manager (Eastern Cape – Port Elizabeth)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a motivated Surgical Sales IOL Manager to grow its market share for surgical disposables and intra‑ocular lenses (IOLs) in the Eastern Cape region. You will act as the primary liaison between Alcon and ophthalmology professionals, driving product adoption and delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans to protect and expand Alcon’s share in the Surgical Disposable and IOL segment.
• Engage existing accounts, build lasting relationships, and understand client needs.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with ophthalmologists and key decision‑makers.
• Implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and monitor market trends.
• Provide product demonstrations, training sessions, and educational materials to healthcare professionals.
• Represent Alcon at conferences, seminars, and industry events to increase brand awareness.
• Conduct market research, prepare forecasts, and maintain accurate sales records.
• Deliver post‑sales support and collaborate with internal teams such as Surgical Equipment, Clinical Applications, Customer Service, and Technical Services.

Required profile

• Health sciences, Optometry, or Sales bachelor’s degree.
• Relevant experience in medical device or ophthalmic sales (preferred).
