About the role
The Registered Nurse – Midwife will provide safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care in the Maternity Ward of Kathu Private Hospital, adhering to hospital standards and policies.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver patient care within the scope of practice, assuming full responsibility for assigned activities.
- Contribute to holistic patient care and promote health and wellbeing.
- Attend handover at shift start and communicate effectively with patients about their care.
- Audit health records for compliance and manage stock control.
- Maintain positive public relations with patients, relatives and visitors.
Required profile
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (or equivalent NQF 7 qualification).
- Relevant qualification and experience in a specialist area.
- Flexible to work various shifts.
- Ability to implement and maintain health practice standards and comply with legislation.
Required skills
- Advanced computer literacy.
