Supply Chain Specialist – Solar Fintech

About the role

Wetility is a leading solar fintech company in South Africa that provides subscription‑based solar solutions for homes and businesses. We are looking for a detail‑oriented Supply Chain Specialist to manage day‑to‑day supply chain operations and act as the main liaison between the supply chain function and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily supply chain meetings, gather updates on inventory, procurement, demand planning, warehousing, dispatch, logistics, master data and stock control.
• Set daily priorities, coordinate resources, and address bottlenecks or operational risks.
• Serve as primary contact for supply chain issues, manage cross‑functional escalations and inform the FinOps Business Partner as needed.
• Review installation and supply plans to ensure material availability and procurement readiness, and communicate warehouse readiness and risks.
• Approve purchase orders within delegated authority, conduct supplier reviews, and manage relationships with suppliers and third‑party logistics providers.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, investigate variances, process returns, de‑installed and damaged stock, and maintain master data and Bill of Materials in the system.
• Ensure compliance with dispatch documentation, proof of delivery, inventory reporting and system updates.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and improve supply chain performance.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Proactive attitude toward identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience in procurement, inventory management or logistics within a fast‑growing environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and master data maintenance.
• Understanding of purchase order processing and supplier performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of logistics coordination and dispatch documentation.
