Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager leads and optimises logistics operations to ensure products are received, stored and distributed safely, accurately, cost‑effectively and in line with health and safety requirements. The role oversees warehouse operations, transport execution, inventory accuracy, labour productivity and customer service while driving continuous improvement and compliance across the logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning and alignment of regional distribution centre strategy with corporate logistics objectives.
• Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, replenishment and dispatch, while optimising layout and flow.
• Oversee distribution to retail stores and wholesale customers, ensuring on‑time, accurate deliveries and managing third‑party logistics providers.
• Lead customer‑service collaboration with sales, retail and procurement to resolve delivery issues and maintain service levels.
• Implement quality, food‑safety and health‑and‑safety standards (ISO 22000, OHSA) and maintain cold‑chain integrity.
• Control logistics budgets, monitor transport costs, drive productivity improvements and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Develop, coach and engage the logistics team, manage performance and succession planning.

Required profile

• Commercially minded logistics leader with proven experience in overseeing warehouse and transport operations.
• Strong ability to balance service delivery, cost management and operational efficiency while driving continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder collaboration skills across senior management, sales, procurement and external logistics partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory control and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 22000 food‑safety standards and OHSA health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Experience in inventory accuracy processes such as cycle counting and FEFO management.
