Student Marketeer - Durban

About the role

Red Bull is looking for a Student Marketeer in Durban for 2027. As part of its brand ambassador programme, you represent the brand on your campus and in your region, reaching new consumers among university students, increasing sales and managing the brand at student level. The role is part-time and suits someone who values flexibility over a 9 to 5 job and enjoys a creative working atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a product and brand ambassador: live the brand's personality and values in everyday interactions with consumers and customers.
• Grow the user base by inviting positive trial and awareness through product sampling, answering consumer questions and concerns.
• Build and run a tailored, innovative campus plan that engages students and brings the brand to life at university.
• Create a strong network by building and maintaining relationships with key local individuals.
• Engage followers on your social media handles with authentic content.
• Work at Red Bull events and supported events to deliver an unforgettable brand experience.
• Build relationships with local sales account managers so Red Bull is available and visible in outlets, and collaborate with sales to open new distribution points on and around campus.
• Use Red Bull assets to keep the brand top of mind in sales accounts and ensure store standards are followed.
• Deliver executional excellence, share ideas with the team regularly, and plan and report activities accurately on the dedicated online platform.
• Provide local insights, trends and opportunities to help develop the media business.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills, charismatic, energetic, positive and outgoing, highly approachable and social.
• Immersed in student life with a thorough understanding of the university, city and region, including behind-the-scenes activities and hot spots.
• Creative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Affinity for learning new skills, especially marketing, negotiation and sales.
• Connected with influential groups and individuals on campus.
• Passion for the Red Bull brand and product.
• Ability to manage part-time work and studies, ideally available for some evenings and weekends; driver's license preferred.
• Event and project management skills, great team player.
