About the role
The client, a clothing retail chain, is seeking a Store Manager to lead its Somerset West location. The role oversees all store operations, drives sales performance and ensures excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, including sales targets, turnover, and expense budgets.
- Prepare the store for audits, maintain cash handling procedures, and ensure accurate banking.
- Lead a team of five employees, schedule staff within budget, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Deliver regular sales meetings, training sessions and visual merchandising standards.
- Control stock, monitor pilferage, and uphold store security and risk procedures.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- 3‑5 years experience as a Store Manager with a proven record of exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to manage a team of five and work trading hours 09:00‑19:00 (195 hrs/month).
Required skills
- Operation of Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Stock control and inventory management.
