Short-Term Insurance Advisor - Peninsula

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Short‑Term Insurance Advisor to join our dynamic team in Somerset West. This permanent role offers a lucrative commission structure and focuses on growing business across the short‑term insurance spectrum.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop business through existing and new opportunities across short‑term insurance lines.
• Source qualified, sustainable new business and onboard new clients following compliant processes.
• Identify and grow market share by cross‑selling and conducting detailed needs analyses for existing clientele.
• Maintain strong client relationships while ensuring adherence to regulatory and FSCA requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum matriculation; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• At least 5 years general experience in short‑term insurance, with a minimum of 3 years in advisory and sales of both short‑term and commercial lines.
• Hold NQF Level 5 qualification and RE5 and/or RE1 certificate; fit‑and‑proper status as prescribed by the FSCA.
• Proven track record of business development in the Western Cape and a strong client referral network.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (spoken, read, written).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
