Stacker

About the role

The Stacker position is based in the Packing Department of a rice processing plant in Durban. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing and stacking pallets to ensure smooth downstream logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect pallets before stacking and select the correct pallet size.
• Cover pallets with sheet covers and arrange products according to the pallet configuration.
• Verify the correct number of packets per bale and apply the appropriate barcode labels.
• Check products for damage, quality issues, and correct date codes.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to GMP and food‑safety regulations.
• Report any food‑safety or quality non‑conformances and near‑miss incidents to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety rules at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: NQF 4, Grade 12, or an equivalent certification.
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar packing or production environment.
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and food‑safety standards.
