Software Engineer: Full Stack

About the role

We're replacing an outsourced loan origination and risk assessment platform with something we've built ourselves – fully in‑house, purpose‑built, and integrated across our credit domain. It's a heavily connected ecosystem, and it moves fast. You won't be maintaining someone else's code. You'll be writing new systems that make real credit decisions for real people.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain full‑stack applications using C# (.NET) and Vue.js.
• Design and implement cloud solutions on AWS.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own features end‑to‑end – from technical design through release and production support.
• Ensure production systems are scalable, reliable, secure and observable.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, Product and Architecture teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident resolution and root‑cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews and shape engineering standards.

Required profile

• At least 5 years' experience delivering production systems.
• Minimum Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.
• Preferred relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
• Clear criminal and credit record.

• Terraform – modules, state management and environment provisioning
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) – schema design and query optimisation
• Observability tools (Instana, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Testing frameworks (xUnit, Vitest, Cypress, Playwright)
• Secure coding (OWASP Top 10) and data‑protection principles
• Good to have: Java, Python (FastAPI) or Golang
• Good to have: Kafka ecosystem – Kafka Streams, schema registries, outbox pattern
• Good to have: AWS cost optimisation
