Software Engineer – Backend & Mobile Leader

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on technical leader to design, develop, and optimise scalable, secure, and reliable software systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager for Software Engineering, you will drive complex solutions across digital channels, partner APIs, and enterprise backend integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud‑native systems on Azure, including AKS, App Services, databases, and networking components.
• Lead large‑scale cloud migration and modernisation projects, ensuring DR readiness and blue‑green deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide architectural discussions across product, QA, DevOps, and platform teams.
• Design, build, and optimise RESTful APIs with Java Spring Boot and integrate third‑party services using OAuth2/JWT.
• Develop cross‑platform mobile applications with React Native, handling performance profiling, OTA updates, and native module integration.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automated quality gates.
• Implement observability and incident‑response tooling such as Azure Monitor, AppInsights, Sentry, and Datadog.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, including backend and mobile development.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams in high‑availability, high‑growth environments.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale cloud migrations, preferably on Azure.
• Track record of delivering under high‑velocity conditions and managing distributed teams.
