Social Facilitator – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Social Facilitator Infrastructure will lead community participation, stakeholder engagement and social‑economic analysis for infrastructure programmes. The role ensures that risk, compliance and development objectives are met while fostering positive relationships between project teams and local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Social Facilitation Implementation Plan and associated reporting templates.
• Utilise and establish governance structures at all project levels to support programme delivery.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including management‑level and community‑level interactions.
• Provide inputs to the Risk Management Plan, Monitoring & Reporting tools, and Communication Plan.
• Design and apply conflict‑resolution mechanisms and mitigation strategies.
• Identify existing stakeholders, set up local governing bodies, and ensure sign‑off of Development Charters.
• Coordinate reporting to PSP Team, PSC Committee, national departments and local steering committees.
• Prepare hand‑over documentation and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a social facilitator in the built environment.
• Relevant qualifications in social development, community engagement or related fields.
• Valid driver’s licence.
