Electrician

About the role

Mediclinic Sandton is hiring one permanent, on-site electrician in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The role provides electrical services and carries out maintenance, repairs and replacements on all relevant systems, infrastructure and equipment in the locality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical electrical jobs within the locality
• Carry out administrative duties within the technical function
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in the locality
• Coordinate work done by on-site contractors
• Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

Required profile

• NQF level 4 electrical qualification covering Mathematics, Science or Industrial Electronics, Electro-technology or equivalent, plus trade test certification for Electrical (3-phase)
• Code B driver's licence with own reliable transport
• No experience required; 1-2 years of electrical experience is desired
• Desired: Wireman's license (Installation Electrician 3-phase or equivalent Namibian registration where applicable)

Required skills

• Maintenance and repair of electrical systems
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and guides
• Alarm panels, IT networks and communication systems
• Occupational safety, health and environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and knowledge of planned maintenance systems
