Showroom Assistant

About the role

CRÉMA is looking for a friendly and organised Showroom Assistant to join its flagship showroom in Cape Town’s East City district. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, helping them experience the brand’s premium furniture, lighting, art and giftware while supporting the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, introduce the showroom and conduct guided tours when required.
• Assist with the sale of giftware and artwork, ensuring accurate pricing and stock counts.
• Maintain impeccable presentation: charge portable lamps, switch on lighting displays, keep displays clean, organised and correctly merchandised.
• Prepare coffee, beverages, snacks and pastries for client meetings and keep the kitchen stocked.
• Coordinate with the cleaning team, replenish supplies and secure the showroom at the end of each day.
• Support administrative tasks such as updating the website when needed.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural welcoming attitude.
• Passion for design, interiors, furniture or architecture.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy retail environment and working as part of a team.
• Previous retail, hospitality or luxury showroom experience is an advantage, but enthusiasm and the right attitude are key.
