Shift Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

The Shift Technician will join Heineken Beverages’ supply‑chain team at the Springs bottling plant, reporting to the Shift Team Leader. You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently and safely during your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machinery and site equipment according to standard procedures.
• Execute planned and preventive maintenance schedules to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Monitor and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) on production lines.
• Supervise health and safety compliance for machinery, equipment and the working environment.
• Complete administrative tasks such as job cards and quality check sheets.
• Provide stand‑in support and lead small teams when required.
• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

Required profile

• Trade certificate (N3‑N6 equivalent) as a Fitter and/or Turner, or a qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in a high‑speed FMCG bottling environment.
• Completed apprenticeship with a recognised institution.
• Ability to work under pressure, pay close attention to detail and solve problems independently.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
